Lady, when you wanna get tattooed and what do you want? Still the same idea? Or something different?
I just watched an old Asian man squat down in the bathroom in front of those automatic hand dryers and stuck his face into it for like a minute straight.
Anonymous asked: How long have you been tattooing/what made you want to go into tattooing?
Well, I started my apprenticeship in 2010, but it was a pretty shitty one and I had to unlearn a lot of bad practices. I didn’t actually start tattooing for real until around April of 2012, so realistically I’ve only been tattooing around a year. Still a baby and still learning a lot.
I got into tattooing because I’ve always been a pretty decent artist. I talked to an artist on my birthday in 2010 and she said I should think about tattooing. Went up to a shop the next day, got a job, and started two days later. Ended up quitting because the place was just filthy…you shouldn’t have roaches in your mop water, and you should be sweeping more than once a week to say the least. So I went to another place, quit for the same reason (seriously, might have even been worse), and finally got an apprenticeship at the studio I’m at now: Flying Tiger. As far as I’m concerned, as long as I’m in the art field I’m happy. So yeah, that’s pretty much how I got where I’m at now.

Flying Tiger
It’s in Auburn
